SERVICE AGREEMENT

USING BARKOD.IN

Please read these terms carefully before purchasing or using BARKOD.IN services.

01 — ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using BARKOD.IN, creating an account, purchasing barcode services, registering products or using the verification and scanner features, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the BARKOD.IN service.

02 — ABOUT BARKOD.IN

BARKOD.IN provides barcode-related digital services, barcode allocation, product registration, barcode inventory management, public product verification and related tools.

BARKOD.IN is designed to provide a controlled barcode allocation and product identity system within its own service infrastructure.

A BARKOD.IN barcode should not be represented as a barcode issued by GS1 India or another GS1 member organization unless separately issued by that organization.

03 — USER ACCOUNT

Certain BARKOD.IN features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information during registration and keeping your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should immediately contact support if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

BARKOD.IN may restrict or suspend an account where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity or violation of these terms.

04 — BARCODE PURCHASE & ALLOCATION

Purchased barcode quantities are recorded against the customer account after successful payment verification.

Purchased barcode inventory may initially appear as unused inventory. A barcode becomes associated with a registered product when the customer uses it during product registration.

Barcode allocation is controlled by BARKOD.IN's internal allocation system. Users must not attempt to manipulate, duplicate, resell or otherwise interfere with the allocation system.

05 — PRODUCT REGISTRATION

Customers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and authenticity of information submitted when registering a product.

BARKOD.IN provides the technical facility for registering product information against an allocated barcode. BARKOD.IN does not independently verify every product claim, certification, manufacturer statement or commercial representation submitted by a customer.

Customers must not register products using information that is misleading, fraudulent, unlawful or owned by another party without authorization.

06 — PUBLIC VERIFICATION

Information associated with a registered barcode may be displayed through the BARKOD.IN public verification system.

Customers should only submit information that is appropriate for public product verification.

The existence of a product record on BARKOD.IN does not by itself constitute certification, regulatory approval, quality certification, ownership verification or endorsement of the product.

07 — BARCODE USE

Customers are responsible for using barcode artwork correctly on their packaging, labels, products, documents or other permitted applications.

Customers should maintain adequate print quality, contrast, dimensions, quiet zones and placement so that the barcode can be scanned reliably.

A barcode being technically valid or scannable does not guarantee acceptance by a particular marketplace, retailer, logistics provider, point-of-sale system or other third party.

08 — MARKETPLACE & THIRD-PARTY ACCEPTANCE

BARKOD.IN does not guarantee that any particular marketplace, retailer, distributor, logistics provider or other third party will accept a particular barcode or product listing.

Third parties may apply their own requirements relating to barcodes, product identifiers, seller accounts, category restrictions, documentation, compliance and listing approval.

Customers are responsible for checking the requirements applicable to their intended sales channel.

09 — PAYMENTS

Prices displayed on BARKOD.IN apply to the packages and services presented at the time of purchase.

Payment processing may be performed through third-party payment providers. An order is treated as successfully paid only after payment status has been successfully verified by the BARKOD.IN system.

BARKOD.IN may retain transaction and order records for operational, accounting, security and legal purposes.

10 — DOWNLOADS & DIGITAL FILES

Where available, customers may download barcode artwork or related digital files associated with their barcode.

Customers are responsible for storing downloaded files securely and maintaining their own backups.

BARKOD.IN may change the available download formats or file-generation process as the service evolves.

11 — PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to BARKOD.IN systems.

You must not attempt to generate unauthorized barcode allocations, manipulate database records, bypass payment verification, impersonate another customer or use the service for fraudulent purposes.

You must not use BARKOD.IN to register unlawful products, deceptive information or content that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

12 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The BARKOD.IN name, website design, software, interface, documentation, graphics, branding and related materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use barcode files provided to you for legitimate purposes associated with your purchased or registered barcode, subject to these terms.

You may not copy, reproduce, resell or commercially redistribute BARKOD.IN's proprietary software, interface or service infrastructure without permission.

13 — SERVICE AVAILABILITY

BARKOD.IN aims to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure issues, third-party services, security incidents or circumstances outside reasonable control.

14 — SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

BARKOD.IN may suspend or restrict access where necessary to protect the service, customers, payment systems, barcode allocation system or other users.

Accounts may also be restricted where activity appears fraudulent, abusive, unlawful or materially inconsistent with these terms.

Where appropriate, customers may contact Support to request clarification regarding an account restriction.

15 — LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY

BARKOD.IN provides technical barcode and product-management infrastructure. Customers remain responsible for their products, packaging, regulatory requirements, marketplace relationships and commercial activities.

BARKOD.IN does not guarantee marketplace approval, product certification, regulatory approval, sales performance or acceptance by a particular third party.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BARKOD.IN will not be responsible for losses resulting from misuse of the service, inaccurate customer-submitted information, third-party marketplace decisions or circumstances outside the reasonable control of the service.

16 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

BARKOD.IN may update these Terms & Conditions when the service, technology, business practices or applicable requirements change.

Updated terms will be published on this page. Continued use of the service after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

17 — SUPPORT

For questions relating to your account, orders, barcode inventory, product registration or use of the BARKOD.IN service, please use the Support page.

Support requests should include enough information for the issue to be understood, while avoiding unnecessary sharing of passwords or other sensitive credentials.

BARCODE STATUS

BARKOD.IN ALLOCATION IS NOT THE SAME AS GS1 ISSUANCE.

BARKOD.IN maintains its own controlled barcode allocation and product-verification infrastructure. Customers should not describe a BARKOD.IN allocated number as a GS1-issued company prefix or claim GS1 authorization unless they independently hold such authorization.
